Meet Melissa and Chris McClure. If you have met one of them you’ve likely met the other. Melissa is a LPN at Trinity Health. Melissa enjoys running, biking, hiking, camping and spending time with family. Melissa has two children and two grandchildren. Chris is a supervisor at J. Stevens Construction. Chris enjoys archery hunting, fishing, running, biking, hiking, and camping. As a part of our Runner Spotlight, we also asked Melissa and Chris to answer a few fun questions: 1. How long have you been running? Chris and Melissa have both been running for approximately one year. 2. Do you race? If so, what is your most memorable race experience? Yes, they have run a 5K, 10K, 15K and a half marathon. They have been training for the 25K River Bank Run. Their most memorable race was the DK5K Tough Run. 3. Ever run in a costume? If so, what? No costumes yet. 4. Only running shoes for me are… Chris and Melissa both wear Brooks. 5. What is your worst running-related injury?
6. Hot or cold weather runner? They both like to run in cold weather. 7. What is your motivation for running? They are motivated by the physical and mental health benefits. 9. I can't run without… They can’t run without one another… “LOL” 10. What's the farthest you have run at one time? 14 miles 11. What brought you to Run Muskegon and why have you stayed? Becki Mueller. They continue to come to Run Muskegon for all of the friendships they have made and for all the good laughs. :)
