Ali Brogan-Beauregard was born in Clinton Twp and raised in Port Huron, MI. Ali currently resides in Norton Shores with her husband, two dogs and cat. Ali ran track in middle school but was more of a sprinter, she moved away from track in high school where she swam competitively and played soccer. Ali attended Grand Valley State University where she got her degree in Information Systems with Minors in Mathematics and Business. Ali currently works as an IT support technician at Magna Engineered Glass in Holland and she is working toward getting her CCNA certification in 2026. Aside from running and working Ali enjoys spending time with her husband and pets, reading and going to concerts.

1. How long have you been running?
I’ve run on and off since high school have been working toward being more consistent in the last few years.

2. Do you race? If so, what is your most memorable race experience?
Yes, I race. My most memorable racing experience was probably my night run during this year’s Ragnar Road. I was running at like 2 am in the middle of nowhere up near Pentwater quietly singing along to Hamilton to help get me through my 8 mile run.

3. Ever run in a costume? If so, what?
I have not run in costume yet… but have plans for the future.

4. Only running shoes for me are…
I am still trying to figure out my perfect shoe,

5. What is your worst running-related injury?
I used to get really bad runner’s knee after my long runs. But I started taking Magnesium, Glucosamine, and turmeric along with adding exercises, stretches and foam rolling that helped me strengthen my IT band.

6. Hot or cold weather runner?
I prefer running in cold weather over extreme heat. You can always add layers there is only so much you can take off.

7. What is your motivation for running?
My motivation for running is to improve my overall health and to help me manage my ADHD running keeps me level headed.

8. If I didn't run I....
I would be a lot harder to be around.

9. I can't run without...
Shoes

10. What's the farthest you have run at one time?
15 miles

11. What brought you to Run Muskegon and why have you stayed?
I learned about Run Muskegon last year when I did the Turkey Trot. I made it my new year’s resolution to commit to running all year and to try new things so I came to Run Muskegon. I stayed because I found a community and friendship I did not know I needed. Run Muskegon members support and encourage each other toward their running goals, and I know I would not be where I am today as a runner without Run Muskegon.
